A little history behind our Build a Dream Playhouse. 

At 2 and a half - Davey is a HUGE Elmo fan! 

He watches Elmo's Video  "Elmo's Bus"  over and over!

When I saw these playhouses I saw "School Bus"! It would be so much fun to make one into a SCHOOL BUS so that Davey could play in it
just like his hero Elmo!

The Imagine Wagon arrived packed very neatly into a cardboard box!

When we opened it up Davey's eyes sparkled! 

I told him we were going to make it a school bus!

He got ready and off we were....... making him his special own

Dream School Bus!

We were amazed at how easy it was to build! 

Davey held onto the parts as The Man put the bus together!

Not only is the school bus his favorite video .... he also watches his big brother and big sister get on the bus everyday for school!

This project is a Big Deal for him!

A Dream come true!

This was one of the funnest projects we have every done with a child! 

It was truly priceless!

Art Fairs both days for me ......

The 2011 Fair on the Hill at the Chapel on the Hill in Lake Geneva on Saturday

 

and the

Artisan Faire in Oconomowoc on Sunday

Then Uppa North for

a few days of R&R!

I am trying a new product at the art fairs this weekend.  Hair Feathers that can go in and out of our hair.  I have taken two or three of the very popular feathers and attached them to a bobby pin that can be placed anywhere in your hair - then removed when you do not want the feathers in your hair!

Great for the WILD side of everyone on the weekends - then the feathers come out for the day job Monday through Friday!

I also have Gold Tinsel & Glow-in-the-Dark Extensions!

FUN!

Plus, I have made the feathers into earrings....some with just feathers and some with feathers and beads!

Feathers are moving out fast! 

Very Very Popular!

Next week I will be making some Peacock Feather Extension!


Now on to my Major Issue of the day!
So much for fair insurance! 
I am trying to purchase my own health insurance! 
 What a joke!
It is really sad that in 2011 in the United States that every citizen can not afford health insurance! Plus, insurance companies should not have the right to refuse everyone that is not in perfect health! 
What the heck!
The tell all question ...... Have you been to the doctor in the last 5 years and have you received advise from the doctor!
Yeah! Hasn't everyone that has been taking care of themselves!
They will insurance my car, boat, motorcycle, 4 Wheeler, house, even my dog but for me! we'll even though you do not have high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, non smoker ......... you do have arthritis second to fibermaylagia!
SO NO!
I'm like what?
You can't operate on arthritis or fibermaylagia!
There is no treatment!
What is it going to cost the insurance company?
No meds - cuz I want a $10,000.00 deductible policy that will only cover
major medical!
Don't seem fair to me!
So back to insurance shopping! 
By the time I get done ..... I will have to say YES to high blood pressure!
Anyone else have a insurance story to tell?
Please let me know!

I don't like to use the blog as a place to vent about the wrongs of the world!  All in all I am a very positive person!

But this insurance stuff takes the cake ....... the whole cake!

I'll keep everyone posted as to my luck winning this battle!

Life in Wisconsin!!!!!

Today, we are suppose to be at the Lake Geneva Farmer's Market at the Horticultural Center downtown Lake Geneva ........ 8am - 1pm

But due to the unfriendly weather ...... we decided to pass!

Rain and cold! this has been a crazy weather year!

Our trip to Wisconsin Dells was really a fun time! Taste of Wisconsin was

a very fun event! The weather could of been a little drier and sunnier on Saturday but all in all not a terrible weather weekend!

  Miss I. and I had a great time!

We can say it was a fun memory making weekend for the two of us!

We forgot to take some pics! :>(

We met some really nice vendors - got a few great leads to other fairs and had many many laughs!
Miss I. went swimming in the pool and we ate at Paul Bunyan's!
Plus, I want to thank Julie for her help!

Miss I. and I decided count us in for next year! We had a blast!

This weekend we are staying close to home for fairs.
Lake Geneva Chapel on the Hill on Saturday
and 
Oconomowoc Artist Market on Sunday.

Then I am off to uppa north for a few days of fun in the sun ......... not sure when I will be back home!

Busy Summer!

Da has been doing some very fun and rewarding coupon shopping! She is really getting very good with her coupons!  Yesterday she got $198.00 worth of items at Walgreen's for $19.00! 

All items she needed and uses!

Amazing!

Well, I better get going ....... lots of glass to make!  I have been slumping bottles daily and am still behind!  Many custom orders! This weekend a order for a Crown Royal...... I did not have the bottle  .... so Da stopped by our bottle bar and asked if they have any. 

Nope .... but the bottle on the shelf has about 10 shots left in it ... when it is done they are dropping it off so I can make the bottle for her Dad!

Summer in Wisconsin! 

Yesterday was 97 degrees and today is suppose to be even hotter. WOW!

New glasses today! Eye exam too!

Getting a new pair of regular glasses and a new pair of sun glasses.  Got home yesterday from being up-north - put on my regular glasses to watch some TV and I had no left lens! It is gone? NO where to be found!
So I called and made an appointment for today.  

What ya going to do.......nothing......just move on!

Today is a super busy day - making glass....new glasses.....getting ready for the many fairs this week.

Some days I think maybe I have too busy of a schedule ...then other days I am way to slow!  At least I think I am!

So this year I decided to try this venue for fairs. 

In January we did the Flake Out Festival - was a huge success!

Summer is this event Taste of Wisconsin Dells.....

Fall is Wo-Zha-Wa Days! The Man is coming with me in September ......plus J&J...they are planning a fishing trip!

 to save on cash Julie and I are going to share a room for two nights.

If you ever go to Wisconsin Dells and want to save on your hotel room....there is a very clean and nice Motel 6 on Hwy 12 very close to the action and it is very reasonable.  Stayed there at the Flake Out Festival, this weekend and plan to make reservations for the September event.
Clean and inexpensive.........my kind of room!

Maybe ......why I think I am so busy this week is the fact that I just might be a little nervous about this weekend!  New event for me and it could be huge!

Hello Friday!

My F key is not working very well!  When I type sometimes it types sometimes it doesn't........ so if you find a word the should have a f and it does not sorry!  Spell check missed it ..... so it must  be some word that I am sure does not fit in the sentence

Yesterday, at the Lake Geneva Farmers Market ...I spoke to a plant person about my cucumber plants dying.  He thought that maybe my cucumbers died because of the wind.  I never knew this .......he said that cucumbers do not like wind.  It has been very windy here in Wisconsin and I did have them planted by the fence  .... so they were the first plants in the garden.

I bought 4 more cucumber plants from him and planted them when I got home.  Hope they survive!

It was a very nice market day!  Lots of smiling people out for the nice day!  Sure wish every market was as nice! 
It is amazing what a sunny day does to everyone!
Well almost everyone!

Today lots to do...heading up-a-north!  Breakfast with my Auntie then a little rummage shopping!

Tomorrow I will be at the Elkhart Lake Farmer & Art Market!

I love this venue!

Lots of great vendors - having a fun time!
The customers are happy and fun!

Kingers and I will be leaving in about 2 hours then The Man will be

joining us later today.

Him and Mr. J. are planning a fishing trip on Saturday.
He does love his boat!

Oh yeah!  Yesterday I  received some of the best Customer Service I have had in a long time.  Our Over-the-Stove Microwave broke up-a-north.

I looked all over for the size we needed and I could not find it.  The brand that broke was a Magic Chef.  So I emailed Magic Chef! Right away I got a response.....I called the number and sure enough I could order it directly from them!  It is being shipping to my home at a very reasonable price. They were very friendly on the phone and the email was answered immediately!

My Hat is off to Magic Chef!

The original microwave was 8 years old - so we got our monies worth from the first one.

I would highly recommend a Magic Chef Over-the-Stove Microwave - product performed and when it stopped - they had EXCELLENT customer service!

 Everyone have a fantastic weekend!

Summer holiday

is here!

Crazy how everything changes after Memorial Day!  Kids get out of school ... people go on vacations .....our whole life gets turned into SUMMER MODE!

On Memorial Weekend I bought the most beautiful Fuchsia plant!

It is gorgeous!

The Hummingbirds love it! They hop from the Fuchsia to

No luck so far.....but I will keep trying!
